Work Week

So.. there goes my first week of work. I have so much to rant about, I wanted to blog about it earlier but I was so caught up in editing my other documents that I totally lost track of time and I'm feeling rather spent typing this. And hungry.

My work is alright thus far, I hate the usual asking-people-for-help-continously-and-being-annoying and making-stupid-mistakes shit, but I know its inevitable and part of the learning process. My in-charge and my colleagues are very nice to me, and are very approachable and willing to teach. I am grateful and yet a bit guilty for always imposing on them.

I saw Aisha on my second day of work and it turns out that she works in a different department from me! She was really nice, still remembering me and bothering to say hi, and even invited me to have lunch with her colleagues. I went for lunch with them the rest of the week and they are really a funny and nice bunch to hang out with. I think im the youngest(?) one in my current department so its nice to hang out with the younger staff for a change.

Bad thing is that I keep going to the toilet!!! Something about working makes me feel so thirsty all the time so I am always seen making trips to the loo. Its like I HAVE to go once per hour. So it's like 8 times a day... why liddis!!!!

Has only been 5 days and the amount of embarrassing shit that happened to me is enough to cover half of 2014 at least.. lol, from being stuck in the stairs and waving to the wrong people.. sigh pie

I'm really busy the whole week though.. trying to get the work life balance shit. as much I love to come home and just crash on my bed, I can't. I wanna ensure I get enough time with everyone else as well! So make changes and be tired I shall!~

Anyway, came back from a career fair today. I really didn't know talking was so exhausting. 2 full hours of talking non-stop, my throat was super dry and painful at the end of the event.

Cheryl and Reb was very supportive and immediately agreed to accompany me when I asked them though they totally didn't have to. But dear Cheryl fell sick and wasn't able to attend, I hope she recovers soon. Anw I had an awesome lunch with reb albeit the short meet up.

I'm just very grateful to have these friends which are just so helpful and sincere in every way. I don't think friends like these come by often anymore.

The day before..

Always feel apprehensive at this time, and I'm excited yet nervous about what is in store for me. Oh well, I guess I just have to see how it goes. I hope everything unfolds perfectly from here. I do not expect an easy way out with no difficulties. I wish for a better me at the end of the 5-6 months. I wish for lessons to be learned and understood, or better yet, friendships to be made. 

It's 12.09am now.

Work boredom

I'm bored!

In the middle of work now. I still have approximately 3 hours more. I know, it's freaking dangerous to blog in a work environment because the colleagues behind me may totally see what im typing but tsk, it's the marketing department so yeah everything's alright~

So excited to post but yet lazy.. the photo editing would drive me crazy! i don't really edit much, but compiling the photos together is a freaking chore!

i've been busy working, and im gonna spend a lot of time with sunny next week because he's leaving for NS on friday :( and i have an interview scheduled on friday, plus i wanna do some handiwork and i've yet to met up with nadirah and june!!! i've also been busy with essays for the past week, and i've still in the midst of reading my book and i haven't been catching up with Skins + HIMYM (wonder latest episode post already?). I've also been spending time playing Sims 3. Yes i'm hooked on it again. it's like an addiction!

The first day is always the hardest

I'm starting my first day of work tomorrow, and the reason why im still up late is because im hoping that the night stretches as long as it could be, because im really dreading monday.

The first day, is always the hardest.

Especially when you're alone this time. I think im just gonna take it with a pinch of salt (hopefully), and welcome any obstacles with an open heart. I mean, thats all that is left to do right? You cant change the fact, but you can change the way you think about it.

Anyway it's just a 2 month plus contract anyway, so i'll just regard it as another internship. The workplace is quite far, but i guess much better in a way? I'll have to walk a lot though.

I hope i'll never get to work, work is boring. Im a piece of lazy shit and all i wanna do is stay at home and roll around! but my conscious is just telling me to get a move on, and start doing something with my life. Afterall, its time = money isnt it? You exchange time for money anyway.

i guess its harder to push yourself when compared to being pushed by something else.

Alright, I shall gonna go prepare for tomorrow. I guess even though i hope tomorrow never comes, it's still gonna happen, whether you get 3 hours or 8 hours of sleep, or even if you welcome or dread this change.

3AM Rain

I'm up at 3am in the morning with an orange sky - expecting rain to come.
Anyway, I thought I should just update this space of mine. It has been 2 weeks.
2 well, exciting weeks.

Anyway, these past 2 weeks was me working as an intern in KPMG, and it's great cos i made a lot of friends, regardless from TP or from other school interns. I think as a whole i get along with them really well, and all of them are really nice! so it's actually quite awesome to have someone to rant to, especially when they understand your plight. These past 2 weeks of interning felt like cramming for a subject - so much to learn and absorb, to familiarize yourself and make friends over a short span of time! Internship is great as it sets me thinking about well.. everything else possible. Whether all of this made sense. I'll leave this part till next time, or until you have been one of the victims of my rants. I hope to expect more challenging work tho, I admit I expect a lot from myself and I'm still learning to take in everything so far. On another plus side, my body clock's healthier! I've been hitting the sack at 1030 or 10pm, and waking up at 6am! (zzzz) 8 hours of sleep is still not enough tho, I slept at 9.30pm before and I can still feel sleepy during work time! There were a lot of upturns and downturns throughout my work, but I think it's always good to stay positive and take things in stride! there is an immense amount of things i learnt, which is just impossible to condense in a few paragraphs. Most of it are very thought-provoking matters and really sorta taught me life lessons and inspired me, in more ways than one, regardless of me being an intern myself or hearing stories regarding their SIP from my friends.

Spent the saturday going to school for campus training and also met up with sunny today, it's our 2.5 monthsary (ew im using this word i feel so cheesy and lame)! he bought me these sticker/speech bubble stuff to ward off against any negative emotions i might feel during SIP and it's so cute i think i can paste it on my workspace! I think happy likes it too ahahaha



anyway, wtf is a creamy centre this sentence is just plain wrong!













Anyway, this would be my last public post. Yes - I'm locking up my blog. While it is interesting to know that random people can come and read my lame blog, it is also quite discomforting at the same time. Of course, I will add some of my friends that I think who reads my blog (bhb-ish) here, but if you read it and I don't invite you, just feel free to ask me! Through facebook because my hotmail and msn is screwed zzz.. you must have a blogger account btw. I'll find someway to sneak sunny in my blog HAHA

Eh I realise I talk like Im such a big shot zzz but moving on...

Okay I think there's nothing else - Im tired, it's 3.53am and Im gonna sleep. Gonna enjoy the last of my weekends before I start off with a boring monday all over again. Toodles peeps.

PS: Sometimes I think that the human mind is such a dilemma - Do you say the ugly truth in someone's face, or should you just keep quiet because that person should already know what he/she should so by now? It's so confusing on how to play the good person sometimes. Right now I'm in a ball of flames but I'm choosing not to say anything. It's very difficult, because i feel so bottled up now, but I think it's the right thing for me to do for you now. I just feel painful that I would have given 100% best to get what you have right now, and it sucks to see you throw that away.

PS/S: Sometimes I can't even differentiate between who's a friend and a foe anymore. As the saying goes 'keep your friends close, and your enemies closer'. Amidst all the socializing, i hope i don't get to see false pretences or getting a stab in the back. I rather they come and tell me in the face that they dislike me rather than doing all the dirty work behind my back. If im only a friend for very supeficial benefits for yourself then heck it - im walking away from all this. I won't say whether anything is happening to me right now, or anything is not. I'm just saying.

the lanyard thingy for the e-filing volunteer program at skcc! it was quite fun overall, machiam like customer service lo. first day was so damn busy cos there was only 3 of us - june me weishan and since it's the first day of the program, there were quite a lot of people and we worked non stop for 4 hours - plus no toilet break ok can you imagine!? worse thing is the ic not there! we had to do everything on our own and figure everything by ourselves! non stop standing and talking woahhhhhhh luckily they provided water!

second day was better tho. got into more understanding of the whole thingy plus there was a relief ic and also more people came! so with a total of 7 peeps i was actually able to slack during the last few hours!




weishan's bday gift for me! haha loved the cookies and i finished it btw! bicky kope the box!

anyway it was 妻子的诱惑's last episode today. totally a crying episode it was damn sad everyone was crying almost the full hour lor!!! and my mother wow she keeps taking tissue every 15 min and bicky also cry!! woah really a nice show :D

btw i've been catching the show 妻子的诱惑' without fail after work. so sad la! and its ending soon. this show's really very nice :D

celebrated bobby and jojo's birthday on 6th mar! to be fair, had to buy happy's share of food also! maybe we'll celebrate again on 12 apr - happy's happy birthday! LOL







btw just saw a channel 8 show about a house infested with bed bugs it was saddening! luckily the bugs were exterminated!!

okay watching benjamin button on HBO now. yay :D
anyway gotta sleep soon i've gotta do tax efiling services at skcc tomorrow. ahh there goes my weekends :(

Updates&Weekends :D

Here to blog, have been very busy since this week!
Met Cherelle and Candy at orchard to hang out last week, roamed around and ended the night after a 3 hour dinner at suki suhi and a long chat :D





Started work from thursday onwards. I thought it would be quite slack like usual but NO! work is shitloads and yeah, mum wasn't joking when she said she needed help in the office.

been learning how to use quickbook, another kinda software for accounting. hate it la zz

met sunny during saturday! woke up at 10am with sis to do lunchbox for him but hmm dammit quite fail lo. the alphabets potato thingy were actually soft kind! i thought it was like french fries kind zzz so the alphabets all kena destroyed! had a good laugh actually and had to bribe bicky into helping us cook the chicken by driving LW to pp during a rainy day LOLL



anyway watched Alice in Wonderland at the cathay and it was sorta having a cosplay event thingy as cosplays were everywhere! roamed around and played fingertwister at starbucks before the show! First time at the grand cathay cinema it is damn big!!!!!

show was nice :D haha and i figured out halfway that the voice of the blue caterpillar, Absolem is actually the Alan Rickman, the actor who played snape! just googled it and i was right! damn im good :) btw the cheshire cat was damn cute!

ended the night with dinner @ compass as well as a runny-nose sunny.

spent my lovely sunday (today) going to christina's house in the afternoon to make sushi! we got a bit crazy halfway and ended up doing alot of funny stuff such as an onigiri face LOL and some other giri.. LOL and it was good my family ate it all up :D











chris claimed that the onigiri with the red band looked like a character in the movie Juno. LOL

headed to her room for chit chat, gossip and disturbing nike LOL. her cat is so cute la so chubby!!!! had a great day :)

anyway just tore down the hamper given during CNY and decided to have fun with the decos!

Updates

Haven't been updating, yes i know. No pictures yet but I'll try to get it asap?

Starting working again and it's super tiring/tedious! Especially today! I had to fight the urge and drag my sorry ass to work. I woke up and the first thing I did was to think of reasons to skip work but I couldn't think of any, bo bian.

If you all didn't know, Im working for SEAB; actually quite easy, just check papers, count can already. But its tedious.. First few days @ 8, 9 sept was fun, we carried papers up and down 4 storeys but these 2 days were SO SO tedious! we had to shade the marks and we have to do it for like 8 hours! when you get 60 papers per packet you literally sian-ed. the uncles and aunties are very cute and funny! circle cirle circle cirle circle is ma xi tuan! LAME!

Didn't sleep well for the few days previously and im still so pooped today. gonna sleep like DAMN EARLY.

I had a case of stiff neck few days ago and it only hurts a bit now, thanks to candy's salong pas!

oh ya & i dyed my virgin hair! HAHAHAHAH did it by myself using the bubble thing. so much things happened right i know.

i have so much to say, but i cannot pen it down into words. its just me and my thoughts right now.
