Last day of 2009

I have exactly 1 hour and 6 minutes to type this. Let's hope I wont be long :)


This year made me realise how much people are changing and that Im actually learning to grow up as an adult

Anyway, hmm I'll just list down the highlights of the year.


1. Sadly, kinda lost my social touch. While I reconnected and got closer with my some of my friends and also made new friends, I kinda lost touch with some of them too. No it's not the you-hate-me-i-hate-you kind. It's the long-time-no-see-drift-away kind. Meh. Oh well.

2. Learnt a lifelong lesson from my father about the purpose of.. everything. Can't really pen them down into words i'll be like 20 thousand pages.

3. Got closer with my family. I mean along with the arguments of course. But heh heh

4. Learnt driving. I was really glad my sis made me to go for license FASTER even though i was reluctant at first. Im really not spontaneous to change zzz

5. Guess what? In the slighest way possible i sorta learnt to stand up for myself.

6. Learnt to be less preoccupied by school. Maybe by doing this GPA's gonna suck. But I just think there's a lot more than studying and dont really wanna be such a slave anymore. It doesn't mean im giving up, im just taking a step back and try to see things from a bigger picture. It's the efficiency that counts, not how much you try to mug and nothing gets in. I guess i finally found a reason why i can't perform well even though i work so hard.

7. Independence. To do things myself, and learnt to get what i want instead of fearing that i'll be lonely and shit. I don't even mind eating lunch or going lectures alone anymore. It's always good to have time to yourself even though I would think or feel a tad lonely. (No sympathy here hor! dont offer to pei me after reading this ah! its ok :) )

8. Selfish. I mean im not gonna be a selfish dumbass. But I think that it's good to be selfish for yourself once in a while, doing things you wanna do instead of accomodating others. Quite tiring ah. I can say no if i want to ya?

9. I also realised that I ought to be healthier. Issues here and there just made me realise and eh im eating veggies okay! ok at least i feel healthier. don't really like sweets and stuff so yeah. okay this point is a bit pointless.

10. Calm & Keep cool. Im still learning, mind you. Even though Im so not panicking at all when people say i am kan chiong! it's just the voice and tone and loudness! But i'll admit i still am.


11. Love sunny! ok pointless again but still.. =D

Anyway, I like how the last day of 2009 is well spent. Im not really those clubbing type of person, and don't really wanna join some countdown party and become sticky and smelly and squeezing with a lot of people. (even though i wanna try for experience like next time) I had lunch with my sunny at boonkeng, those wet market type heh heh but i liked it, went back my house to just slack and made him 'hate' milk tea WAHAHAH! also watched channel u 妻子的诱惑 with family, and some supper/snacks at pasar malam before coming back again. & here i am, blogging. Peaceful and simple. :)

Being 18 was great, and I hope 19 would be even better :)

PS: saving it as a draft until sunny goes home heh heh so he wont see cos damn embarrassing if he reads it while im like beside him!

PS:S damn unphotogenic la how do you even make yourself look good in photos? look like crap.. i had this photo where i was practically GLOWING WITH HAPPINESS but i was too yucky looking

Thailand Trip Day 1

Shall blog about day 1, since there are really quite a lot of photos!
i remembered sleeping for like 2 hours or less and woke up ar 4am! 4am mind you i was as grumpy as an asshole. well, at least i was an excited one. did so many last minute packing and checking whether things were in place.




I remembered telling everyone: We look like amazing race competitors!

Sleepy mum and an excited me! (still fully awake!)

sneaked into the staff canteen for lunch. i was feeling so weird because we dunno whether we were allowed access to it and people were giving weird looks(must be psychological) but well we saw some families there also.





Got the ticket. Like dammit la i am at aisle B! no window seat boohoo

off we boarded to the plane! can you see the spectrum of rainbow? anyway it took like darn long to take off me and my sissies were so excited! dad slept before it even flew! there was a sudden sharp brake and my dad woke up saying: 'land already ah?' i was like -.-

2 hours later.. (2 SG HOURS)


Boarded a van-alike cab. the driver was so sincere and his services were damn good!
reached our hotel - Indra Regent Hotel after like a 45 minute drive.

Rested a while, and off to Chaktuchak
Candy was right, open on weekends only!
Dammit la it was so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and things there were FREAKING CHEAP!

and on with the shopping..
didn't buy much at first cos everyone was like too thin-skinned to bargain. but after a while everyone just started haggling like siao

dad got bored of shopping as he said he still have plenty of clothes at home he doesn't wear so he just see people play chess! so innovative!

all interested in earrings! (ended up buying like zilch cos my ears are sensitive only can wear pure silver dammit even my ears so atas! why no plastic T.T)





after 3 painful hours of shopping, we went back to hotel to bath and out to dinner! mind you even though 3 hours seems short the hours are painfully long because its 1 hour earlier than SG! further more clothes there cannot try so we bought things awfully fast and an hour there seems like walk for 4 hours already. im telling you chaktuchak is like 100 times bigger than bugis and seemingly half of hougang im not joking.

went for seafood!







fresh fish, fresh fruits! got kena cheated i guess cos the place damn expensive sia! never mind we must learn our lesson.
the stores there close as early as 7 - 8pm so we slept at like 9pm SG time. damn tired!

ok thats the end of day 1. day 1 has the least photos and least exciting! HAHAHA imma go start doing my tutorials school starts at monday WHY OH WHY

Im going Thailand later! Flight is in the morning. Dammit sia I am so dead.

Sunny came over to my house for consecutively 2 days! (Ytd & today)
bwahaha watched movies of course, but we passed out Angels & Demons halfway as we knew we cannot finish it as it was loading quite slowly. watched jennifer's body and i think it wasn't as a disappointment as people said. prolly cos they expected it to be really scary but i think it's kinda my cup of tea cos i dont really like too much horror. can't stand the intense suspense! bad thing about the show was that there were a couple of loopholes here and there. oh well.

Dad drove us to the newly opened shengsiong nearby to buy some groceries first before going to my house!
bought KoKo Crunch and milk! Im collecting the spongebob giveaways that come with the cereal and i got Krabbs! HAHAH couldn't find Patrick I searched the entire shelf.

Hohoho what a happy day. Haven't met him for like a week plus before that..

Anyway, im gonna spend sometime with my friends especially, and my family for this 2 weeks. the last time i hang out with them was ... sheesh.

going to school tomorrow for FOI project and im gonna reach early to settle my internship thingy. im quite interested in the overseas internship the school offered. but well im not gonna say anything unless its confirmed LA! but i hope i can go tho. it'll be a new experience!

anyway, not gonna aussie damn sad cos its unconfirmed. and thailand's trip gonna be postphoned cos mom needs more time to recover. so yeah.

okay im still doing my blog posts about the outings. haha woopiee.
